More streaming music, from more quality bands, with more (we think) useful descriptions of their sound. I mean, why write long paragraphs about a band, when I can just tell you “sounds like” A Place To Bury Strangers or Everlast. Granted, it’s hard as hell to compare bands, and I fully encourage local bands to blast the comment box with “I can’t believe you said I sound like ________!”; I did my best though.
In case you were too busy not being online (I almost envy you), the official schedule was released on Salty Eggs this past Wednesday. Check it out to see when all these below mentioned bands are performing.
For fans of: Spritualized, Sonic Youth, Iggy & The Stooges, and psych rock.
For fans of: The Hold Steady, Sugar, Superchunk, and the TV Show Revenge.
For fans of: Kasabian, (old) Muse, White Lies, and bands that equally straddle Miami and Broward.
For fans of: Iron & Wine, Radical Face, Bright Eyes, and Duval County (Doooooo-val, stand up!)
For fans of: City & Colour, Fleet Foxes, Ray Lamontagne, and tranquilo bro…tranquilo.
No Soundcloud from what I can tell, but here’s an MP3 to download
For fans of: METZ, Pissed Jeans, Iceage, and blown speakers.
For fans of: Pavement, The Replacements, Weezer (first half of career), and really good surprise cover songs at the end of sets.
For fans of: VHS or Beta, Foals, Bloc Party, and disco rock.
For fans of: Link Wray, Dick Dale, Duane Eddy, and rock n’ roll with no synths.
Man, I’m going to have a tough time finishing this lineup in the next couple days. Your adoring hate mail keeps me going though.
